Un Rodo Cora:
Un Rodo Cora blends classic indie pop and rock with elements of both retro and contemporary styles. Based in Stockholm, this group straddles the space between a solo project, a band, and a collective, centered around the songwriter Bo Christo. The band’s lineup is fluid, featuring a core of musicians and a changing roster of guest artists who contribute to its diverse sound.
The concept for Un Rodo Cora emerged from Bo Christo’s dissatisfaction with the constraints of fixed lineups in bands during his youth. He envisioned a more adaptable structure where the music would determine the makeup of the band rather than the other way around. This approach allows for a flexible lineup that can vary as widely as the ingredients of a pizza, accommodating a broad range of musical styles and influences.
Initially known as “Unpatriotic Rotten Doctor Commie Rats,” the group eventually shortened its name to “Un Rodo Cora.” They have released six full-length albums and four EPs, each adding to their eclectic musical journey.
Their recently released sixth studio album, ‘Infants on Ice,’ showcases a shift towards a slightly heavier, slower, and darker tone, while still retaining their flair for strong melodies. The new names in the lineup includes Tony Lind (Billy Momo, Linger) and Ulf Berlin (Pud Alone & The Congregation).
